About Us

The Pender Post celebrated its 35th anniversary of serving the people of Pender County on October 1, 2005. Established in 1970 by Reuben and Frances Moore of Atkinson, The Pender Post covers all of Pender, from Black River to the beaches.

The Pender Post office is located at 201-A West Fremont Street, Burgaw NC 28425. It is the official paper of record for Pender County and carries government news from the county and many of its municipalities, as well as the largest number of legal notices in the county.

Special features include the Education Station, Pender Profiles, Business News, Health News, and Church features. The Pender Post prides itself in being a professionally personal publication representing all the people of Pender County.

Supplemental publications include the Back Burner Cookbook, now in it’s 27th year which will be published just before Thanksgiving, the Pender County Civic Directory published every spring, a Hurricane Preparedness supplement published each summer and special publications for county festivals and various holidays.
